It's Immaterial are an English indie pop band from Liverpool, England, formed in 1980. They are best known for their 1986 single "Driving Away From Home (Jim's Tune)", which reached number 18 in the UK Singles Chart. It's Immaterial were formed by three former members of Yachts - Mancunian John Campbell vocals, Martin Dempsey guitar, and Henry Priestman keyboards - in addition to Paul Barlow, drums

Their first for Ghostly, It’s Immaterial follows up their EP Weight Against the Door (Hardly Art) and highly acclaimed debut full-length A Different Arrangement (Hardly Art).

The tracks have different titles and have been reworked it is essentially the same ten tracks we started with bum but updating them a bit. The song House for Sale is retitled 'Tell me Why'. Essentially it is the same song just reworked with some new lyrics.

It’s Immaterial has an apprehensive relationship with optimism. Stewart wrote the album’s lead track, the static pogoing Iron Lung, after spending two weeks in the hospital with a serious case of pneumonia, and has talked about the feelings of ‘psychic turmoil’ and dissatisfaction that fueled the record. If it came from a difficult head space, it arrives at a more inviting one. Without crossing too far over Black Marble’s own tastefully stark lines, It’s Immaterial allows a little more endearing color and candor. The occasional nod to nostalgia - like the Yes-citing lyric You’re the owner.
