Chill Out is the third studio album by The KLF, released in February 1990 and one of the earliest ambient house concept albums. The music describes a mythical night-time journey to the . Gulf Coast states beginning in Texas and ending in Louisiana. Chill Out was conceived as a continuous piece of music, with original KLF music interwoven with samples from songs by Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Acker Bilk, Van Halen, 808 State and field recordings of Tuvan throat singers.

Space is a 1990 ambient house concept album by Jimmy Cauty under the alias Space.

I have this - it's a bootleg of course, which I bought for Space, which is long out of print. It's a bit like "Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld" but with the beats and samples taken out. Rispondi Avvertimi 2 Helpful.

Chill Out. By: The KLF (1990, Electronic). 2. Pulling Out Of Ricardo And The Dusk Is Falling Fast. 3. Six Hours To Louisiana, Black Coffee Going Cold. 4. Dream Time In Lake Jackson.

One of the initial works in the ambient house canon, Chill Out is the practically beatless soundtrack to a late-night journey along the Gulf Coast, and the track titles tell much of the story: "Six Hours to Louisiana, Black Coffee Going Cold," "3AM Somewhere Out of Beaumont," "Elvis on the Radio, Steel Guitar in My Soul.

Chill Out, then, is undeniably pastoral, utterly bucolic, a kind of deep-cleansing spiritual guide to what happens after the club shuts and your mind begins to open. In it's own twisted, psychedelic, confounding way, it happily plays with the slightly patronizing conventions of rural-ambience  . The KLF may or may not be returning. It doesn't matter either way because we'll always have Chill Out and the world will always need it. Josh is on Twitter.

Chill Out is a seamless piece of music that features snippets of Elvis Presley samples, train horns and railway crossings, Tuvan throat singers, Russian radio broadcasts, bleating sheep, tropical birds, fervent evangelical sermons, Van Halen riffs, and a pedal steel guitar that gives the album a decidedly relaxed, spacy feel. I love KLF's White Room album. I thought that this "Chill Out" would be the same style, but I was wrong. This CD has no dance/techno musics.

Phobism Phobism
I have this - it's a bootleg of course, which I bought for Space, which is long out of print. In order to fit the two albums onto CD the compilers chopped off Chill Out's last three tracks, so unless you're absolutely desperate to hear Space it's a poor deal - or *was* a poor deal, back when people bought CDs. Space is presented as a single track. It's a bit like "Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld" but with the beats and samples taken out.
