This album also had collaborations with Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah and Leroy Burgess. Cassius returned to the studio in 2006, for the more experimental single "Toop Toop", but the next album, titled 15 Again, featured more vocal collaborations than the duo had done with Au Rêve. While rehearsing their 15 Again album tour, Cassius provided the community with the a cappella track of their single "Toop Toop" and encouraged fans and friends to start remixing the song  . Etienne de Crécy & La Funk Mob 1998. Best of Lounge Music 2010. The act debuted with a track on the 1993 compilation album Jimmy Jay Présente 'Les Cool Sessions' and signed to Britain's seminal Mo'Wax for two 1994 EPs, Tribulations Extra Sensorielles and Casse les Frontieres, Fou les Têtes en L'air ("Breaking Boundaries, Messing Up Heads"). Little was heard from the duo during 1997-1998, though two side-projects (Motorbass and L'homme Qui Valait 3 Milliard) saw release, and Boom Bass again provided production work for MC Solaar on his third album, Paradisiaque

I've probably regaled you with this story before but during the early nineties I was an avid collector of James Lavelle's Mo Wax label and pretty much collected everything on the label from MW014, Shadow's In Flux up until MW078, Cavern by Liquid Liquid, with a smattering of the first thirteen and it must be said to diminishing. You never knew what you were going to get some of it was astounding a lot of it alright and some absolute pish but it was always worth a listen and the covers always looked as cool as fuck. Most of the Mo Wax along with the a lot of the Junior.

The Hawtin mix is sick. Giant heavy bass and analogue crushing synth...beast!

sound good.

Straight to the Hawtin mix on this set for me. Which is handy because I seem to have lost the other disk somewhere along the line. If you think it might be interesting to hear Richie Hawtin tackle breakbeats then the 'Motor Bass Gets Phunked Up (Electrofunk Remix) ' might be for you. Crisp crunching breaks, as a music journalist might say, punctuated by a blast of analouge funk. Or something like that. I expect the Carl Craig mix is quite good also, the original material is ripe for a Carl Craig interpretation. I'll have to give it a listen....

A classic from the duo better known as Cassius.
