Ted Leo, The Pharmacists. Tell Balgeary, Balguery is Dead.

The EP Tell Balgeary, Balgury Is Dead soon followed and featured a number of Leo's solo songs and covers. The band's video documentary Dirty Old Town was released the same year. Prior to the recording of 2004's Shake the Sheets, Garry and Canty left the band, reducing the group to a trio. Ted Leo's most recent album, The Brutalist Bricks, was released on March 9, 2010, followed by a tour of the United States and Europe. In September 2011, Key left the band to open a record store. The band has continued as a trio with Canty taking over on bass.

Ted Leo & the Pharmacists' 2003 Tell Balgeary, Balgury Is Dead EP includes the freewheeling and powerful title song (taken from their excellent 2003 album Hearts of Oak) plus eight more songs featuring Leo performing solo. He covers his own "The High Party" (also found originally on Hearts of Oak), a handful of covers, and three new songs. Despite the stripped-down format, Leo's trademark vocal acrobatics are still in evidence, as are his intense passion and dedication

For those who don't know much past his limited discography, "Tell Balgeary, Balgury Is Dead" is a sweet song off of Hearts of Oak which got made into a 10 song EP released on Lookout! Records. Not following in typical extended play fashion, this features Tell Balgeary, Balgury Is Dead" from the album, a solo performance by Ted of another song off of the album, and 8 songs which also feature him playing solo.

Tell Balgeary, Balgury Is Dead. This song is by Ted Leo and the Pharmacists and appears on the album Hearts of Oak (2003) and on the EP Tell Balgeary, Balgury Is Dead (2003). It's been a hard road but there's no turning backAnd there's no end in sight to this darkening night and that's a sad factI hear you come down to the graves at InchigeelaFor to walk through the stones of the names we have known, and there I'll meet you.

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists (sometimes written Ted Leo/Pharmacists, Ted Leo + Pharmacists, or TL/Rx) are an American rock band formed in 1999 in Washington, . They have released six full-length studio albums and have toured internationally. Though the group's lineup has fluctuated throughout their career, singer/guitarist Ted Leo has remained the band's main songwriter, creative force, and only constant member. The album's title comes from a lyric in the Split Enz song "Six Months in a Leaky Boat", which the band later covered twice: first as a Leo solo on the EP Tell Balgeary, Balgury Is Dead in 2003, and again as a full band on 2005's Sharkbite Sessions. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists chronology. Leo includes three (solo) covers on this album - tributes to those who influenced his musical stylings. This styling of "Dirty Old Town" was made famous by The Pogues, while "Ghosts" and "Six Months in a Leaky Boat" were created by The Jam and Split Enz, respectively. Six Months in a Leaky Boat" also receives the full band treatment on Sharkbite Sessions. Instead of removing the track, Leo just reverted to his experimental style so that "Ghosts" and "Six Months in a Leaky Boat" could remain separate.
