Description

Orion the Hunter may refer to: Orion (mythology). Orion (astronomy), a constellation representing the mythological Orion. Orion the Hunter (band). Orion the Hunter (album), the eponymous debut album by Orion the Hunter. Orion (disambiguation). Hunter (disambiguation).

Orion the Hunter is the first (and, thus far, only) recording from the band Orion the Hunter, which was an offshoot of the band Boston (guitarist Barry Goudreau and vocalist Brad Delp -who sang backing vocals here- were also in Boston, and guitarist/vocalist Fran Cosmo would be in a later incarnation of that band). The group also included Michael DeRosier (from the group Heart on drums & percussion) and Bruce Smith on bass.

Orion The Hunter - more correctly Orion, for The Hunter had simply been the title of their first album - was a 1980s rock combo and offshoot of the popular band Boston. It featured former Boston members Barry Goudreau on guitars and future Boston lead vocalist Fran Cosmo. Orion released the album The Hunter in 1984 on Columbia Records, which yielded a hit single "So You Ran", featuring the sky-high vocals which prompted Cosmo's entrance to Boston in the early 90s. Orion charted at on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart after its debut on 5/19/84.

Orion The Hunter : Orion the Hunter. Hard-Rock, USA (1984 - CBS Records, Portrait Records) Learn more. There's no doubt about it We had it all back then. On a day we said goodbye Seemed no good to try Now it seems not a day goes by I don't wonder why. It's no good without it Love from the heart won't break. Chorus) Do you remember All those years (all those years) All those years Shadows of yesterday. Looking back to the memories Clouds the things we see I know that our love was strong It lasted for so long. When you think about it Time has a role to play.

Orion the Hunter Format: Vinyl. Call It Love- A fun little tune to end this awesome album! I like this song and it ends with a bang! great song! Verdict: If you like Boston, Journey, Survivor, or just 80's rock, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting this album! You will not be sorry at all! This is what the 80's was all about, although, I don't know why this album wasn't bigger.
