Sheshet (Hebrew: ששת) was an experiment, which was premature (from a commercialized point of view), to combine between variety of musical worlds: Israeli folk music, Balkan and oriental music, jazz and rock. These were the 70's, years of musical boldness from many artists, but also years with small target audience for different music. And that is how the musically fascinating and revolutionary Sheshet ended up with just one album.

Comes in a slim double CD jewel case with a 12 page booklet and an insert advertising the series in a cardboard slipcase. Disk 1 is the original album released on CBS in 1977. Disk 2 is from the original soundtrack album "The Stretcher March" released on Isradisc in 1977. Tracks 1-2 and 1-9 appeared on both "Sheshet" and "The Stretcher March" LPs. Disc 1 recorded at Triton Studios, Tel Aviv 8/77 - 10/77. Disk 2: הוקלט באולפני "טריטון‏"‏ (Recorded at Triton Studios).
