The Cactus Al/Bum (also known as The Cactus Cee/D and The Cactus Cas/Ette depending on release format) is the debut album by hip hop trio 3rd Bass, released on Def Jam Recordings on November 14, 1989. It was certified gold by the RIAA on April 24, 1990, the same day as Biz Markie's The Biz Never Sleeps, which was released two weeks prior to The Cactus Album.

Text on back cover: The cactus stands firm on the desert plain, juicing fluids from its desolate environment. Two solo MC's absorbed and deciphered culture from far rockaway to Bedford-Stuyvesant and, like the desert plant, stood alone. Predators never set it off, for all over sharp thorns protrude. and your mack-daddy license is revoked. All shades knowledge cactus techniques, and jet from ignorance in the desert. Cat on labels: C 45415 Cat on spine: FC 45415. AL-45397 and BL-45397 scratched out from runout grooves.

It was certified gold by the RIAA on April 24, 1990, the same day as Biz Markie's The Biz Never Sleeps, which was released two weeks prior to The Cactus Album. The Cactus Album peaked at on Billboard's Top Hip Hop/R&B Albums chart and at on the Billboard 200 chart. In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums. A decade later, Rhapsody included The Cactus Album in its list of "The 10 Best Albums By White Rappers". In 1998, the album was selected as one of The.

The duo may not have come from the streets, but their hearts were there, and it shows. The album embodies New York life.

The Cactus Album is a hip-hop classic that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. MC Serch & Pete Nice are very underrated rappers in both their lyrics and their delivery. And like the Beastie Boys and De La Soul, they get their samples from a variety of sources (Blood Sweat & Tears, Gary Wright, Doors, Emotions, etc). Every track here is great with the best being "The Gas Face", "Product Of The Environment", "Brooklyn-Queens", "Monte Hall", and "Wordz of Wisdom" (both parts).

Текст песни: 3rd Bass deals with the first place Of where your mind is The kind of stuff that you want to smoke blunts with Take pictures, like Allen Funt would. The Cactus Mr. Mojo Risin' Mix. Исполнитель: 3rd Bass. Чтобы добавлять треки в плейлисты, нужно авторизоваться.
