1969's Gates, Grills And Railings marked a new image and musical style for Bobby while 1972's'Nothin' Like a Sunny Day' featured Bobby recording an album of self-composed songs under his real name of Robert Thomas Velline. The "Nothin' Like A Sunny Day" album is self penned and very different from the usual Bobby Vee fair. It's very well done and very listenable and illustrative of this man's versatility.
