May Acrassicauda bring together their individual talents, as well as the huge support they’ve had so far – David Ellefson and Alex Skolnick for instance – and release a full album that’s worth it very, very soon. Otherwise, they’ll simply vanish from the scene and remain in the memory of those who had the chance to listen to them as one of the bunch of bands that never really made it, but were pretty cool. Acrassicauda is a Middle Eastern thrash outfit that was the focus of a documentary called Heavy Metal in Baghdad a couple of years back that told the tale of the their plight to play the music they love in everyday war-torn horror. As I watched the documentary the other night, mentally taking notes on this band that seemed unpolished and raw, I asked myself what this band might sound like in a real studio with solid production and tutelage.

Acrassicauda managed to escape their war-torn homeland with some talent and a hell of a PR hook. This, their debut four-song EP, isn't much different from the work of a zillion young . or European bands; it's the sum of their influences, with a few glimmers of originality here and there. Middle Eastern rhythms and vocal chanting crop up, notably on "Garden of Stones" (which also features a coiled-snake guitar solo from Tony Aziz), and "Massacre" begins with a brief spoken prelude in Arabic

Yes, a war definitely ends eventually, but one can never tell when the next war will begin. This is what Plato meant - that one will see the end of war only in death. People who live in conflict zones, for them, every day is a battle. One bombing barely ends when the rattle of another strike shatters their neighbourhood again. Only death gives them an end. At least, this is what my interpretation is. 1. k views · View 32 Upvoters. To me what means - A war will just not end. With every war, we sow a seed for another into future. So only the real end of the War is nothing but devastation. That is the experience which a dead would have experienced. Living can only understand and wait for the next wa. .Very negative as it sounds, he is seriously discouraging any kind of violence. k views · Answer requested by.
