I finally found something amazing again

West Meets East is an album by American violinist Yehudi Menuhin and Indian sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar, released in Britain in January 1967. It was recorded following their successful duet in June 1966 at the Bath Musical Festival, where they had played some of the same material. The album was issued in America on EMI's Angel Records imprint in June 1967.

Recordings are real originals: Shankar was already a star in India & Menuhin was one of the premier American classical violinists when they collaborated. A better 60s culture icon than Jefferson Airplane or even Sgt.

Ravi Shankar (IPA: ; 7 April 1920 – 11 December 2012), born Robindro Shaunkor Chowdhury (Rabindra Shankar Chowdhury in Hindi), his name often preceded by the title Pandit (Master) and "Sitar maestro", was a Bengali Indian musician and a composer of Hindustani classical music. He was the best-known proponent of the sitar in the second half of the 20th century and influenced many other musicians throughout the world
