Bangoura released his debut album, N' Na by Epizo in 1998 and followed with Inchallah by Epizo Bangoura and African Express in 2000, at the ARIA Music Awards of 2001 it was nominated for Best World Music Album. N'NA nin N'FA (2007). The country was at the core of the 2014 Ebola outbreak, human rights in Guinea remain a controversial issue. In 2011 the United States government claimed that torture by security forces, the land that is now Guinea belonged to a series of African empires until France colonized it in the 1890s, and made it part of French West Africa. Guinea declared its independence from France on 2 October 1958, from independence until the presidential election of 2010, Guinea was governed by a number of autocratic rulers.

Epizo Bangoura and African Express were an Australian-based band formed by Guinean-born percussionist, Abdoulaye "Epizo" Bangoura. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2001, their album, Inchallah, was nominated for Best World Music Album. They were named Best Live Act at the World Music Awards where Bangoura was also Best Instrumentalist and Best Male. Abdoulaye "Epizo" Bangoura was born in Conakry, Guinea and has younger brothers, Mohamed and Sibo Bangoura.
