Glory to the Brave" is a song by the Swedish power metal band HammerFall, from the album Glory to the Brave, released as a single on 20 October 1997. On this release there are four songs. The band say that the lyrics in this song are a tribute to long lost friends who died too early.

This song is enough to reduce a cold-blooded serial killer to crying. It's personally dedicated to Joacim's grandfather (Klas Fors). But the song itself is dedicated to anyone who has died. Keyboards play through the beginning of the song. I personally think the low-tuned guitars take the mood from the song a little bit. But other than that, it's a perfect song.
