Themes is a 1989 compilation album of works by Greek electronic composer and artist Vangelis. It featured some previously released tracks from Vangelis's other albums, as well as some pieces from movie soundtracks that had not previously been released. The album is notable because it marked the first official appearances of Vangelis' music from the films Blade Runner, The Bounty, and Missing. Of these three film scores, only the Blade Runner soundtrack has since received an official release.

List of the best albums released in the 1990s, from the years 1990 to 1999. Popular trends in the '90s largely carried over from the previous decade, including a fascination with teen pop and dance pop music, along with the growing popularity of hip-hop and rap albums among a mainstream audience. The early 1990s were dominated by the West Coast gangsta rap sound, particularly following the release of Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" in 1992. The mid '90s were notable for the shocking, violent deaths of two of the era's most popular rappers – Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace (aka Notorious BIG).

This is the best of vangelis. This should be the number one song here. This is a song that actually starts making you think, imagine & feel. You yourself feel like a gladiator, a warrior. Made for the movie with the same title again, this is another big hit - MatrixGuy. This is the best vangelis song and one of the most powerful and recognizable movie tracks of all times. This piece creates a magical, bluesy atmosphere which is indescribable with words. Its very hard to undrestand music. 4 Ask the Mountains UListen to Sample. 5 Memories of Green - Vangelis UListen to Sample. 6 End Titles (From Bladerunner).

Tricky – maxinquaye (1995) A puppet master and his puppet’s verboten relationship has never been more salacious. Martina Topley-Bird, then a teenager, read lines like I’ll fuck you in the ass, Just for a laugh as the lecher-voiced Tricky, a refugee of Massive Attack at the time, fed them into her ear, likely followed by a neck nibble. The resulting sex-as-death masterwork perfected the texture-torture album decades before Burial and the Weeknd could get their grubby hands on a sampler. Tricky plied Topley-Bird with weed from his advance cash while she humanized his bored perversity. 1999’s Keep It Like A Secret is the band’s best album because it falls perfectly in-between those two extremes. It’s full of amazingly catchy rock songs with fantastic guitar work and Doug Martsch’s nostalgic lyrics and elegiac, Neil Young-ian voice.
