Love Tracks (Gloria Gaynor album). Love Tracks is the sixth studio album by Gloria Gaynor, released in 1978 on Polydor Records. Love Tracks includes her million-selling hit single "I Will Survive" which originally started out as the b-side to the album's first single, a cover of Clout's "Substitute" before it was flipped.

Gloria Gaynor's "Love Tracks", the Diva's sixth studio album, was released in 1978 smack in the middle of Disco's maddening peak. Only four years earlier Gaynor was at her peak, being dubbed the "Queen of the Discos". But the hits dried up after "Never Can Say Goodbye" and Donna Summer became Disco's reigning superstar Diva. The release of "Love Tracks" brought Gloria back to the top of the charts and made her a part of history. Love Tracks" includes the eternal anthem "I Will Survive".

Gloria Gaynor (born Gloria Fowles 7 September 1949) is an American singer-songwriter born in Newark, New Jersey, USA. She is best-known for the disco era hits "I Will Survive" (Hot 100 1979), "Never Can Say Goodbye" (Hot 100 1974), "Let Me Know (I Have A Right)" (Hot 100 1980) and "I Am What I Am" (Hot 100 1983). Some of her other hits include "I Never Knew", "Just Keep Thinking About You", "Last Night", "Mighty High", "Be Soft With Me Tonight", "Strive", "Let's Mend. However, in late 1978, with the release of her album Love Tracks, she climbed the pop charts again because of her song "I Will Survive". The lyrics of this song are written from the point of view of a woman, recently dumped, telling her former lover that she can cope without him and does not want anything more to do with him.
