The Fugs Second Album Tracklist.

Morning, Morning," haunting song from The Fugs Second Album, later covered by Richie Havens.

The album charted number 95 on Billboard's "Top Pop Albums" chart. The album was re-released on CD in 1993 as The Fugs Second Album under the Fantasy label with five additional tracks: two live performances and three tracks recorded for Atlantic in 1967 for an album that was never released.

The Fugs, retitled The Fugs Second Album for a later reissue, finds them sounding more professional than on their debut, and still sounding very ahead of their time lyrically, expressing sentiments in ways that just hadn't been done before. Lyrically, many of the tracks on this album wouldn't be out of place on any Dead Kennedys record, but like the Dead Kennedys, the Fugs' weakness for crude humor puts a damper on the whole affair. Sometimes the jokes work ("Dirty Old Man"), sometimes they don't ("Mutant Stomp"), but they're always entertaining

The Fugs Second Album. All Fugs records are essential anachro-poetic late-beat documents of core members Ed Sanders and Tuli Kupferberg, even when they slicked up for a major label. The CD includes some live tracks, as well as some outtakes from an aborted session for Atlantic.

In 1965, the album charted on Billboard's "Top Pop Albums" chart. The album was originally released in 1965 as The Village Fugs Sing Ballads of Contemporary Protest, Point of Views, and General Dissatisfaction on Folkways Records before the band signed up with ESP-Disk, who released the album under its own label with a new name in 1966

On my copy cover and label say it's their second album but the music pressed on it is actually their first record. Does anyone else have the same issue?
