COW, Chill Out, World! is the fourteenth studio album by ambient house group The Orb. The album was released on 14 October 2016 via the Kompakt label. The album was announced alongside the announcement of a full UK tour taking place between 24 November and 10 December 2016 for their 25th Anniversary celebration of their debut album The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld after their successful one-off show at the Electric Brixton on 29 July 2016.

Paterson describes COW, Chill Out, World! as "our most ambient album yet" and "a protest album in reverse. It's the 21st century and it seems like a good idea for people to sit back and chill the fuck out, before continuing to act destructively. The Orb have also revealed a series of live tour dates across the UK in November and December, following on from a London show last month. These two-set events will feature a celebratory 25th-anniversary performance, in full, of their seminal debut LP Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld, along with music from this forthcoming full-length and "greatest hits" from The Orb's storied career.

Ambient music can disappear into the ether if not done properly, but Paterson and Fehlmann are both eccentric producers who have little problem avoiding that pitfall. The album was produced in only five sessions, using just a handful of sound sources-field recordings, thrift-store records, bits and pieces of live gigs and the like, all fading in and out of the mix.
