These pressings have a black oval sticker on the front jacket stating "QUIEX II Limited Edition Pressing". Also has gold "Lent For Promotional Use Only...." stamp on the front, typically at the lower right bottom.
Quiex II is a harder, purer vinyl ("virgin vinyl"), for higher-standard sonics, used on many WEA (Warner, Elektra, Atlantic) label Promotional copies in the US at the time. The disc is translucent; hold it up to a bright light and you can see through it.
Also differentiates from the standard pressing by the extra data in the matrix run-outs.
Comes with the custom inner sleeve as with the standard pressing.

Gone Troppo is the 10th studio album by George Harrison, recorded and released in 1982. Gone Troppo was, even by George Harrison's uneven solo standards, a notable flop. Blame might fall on an aging target audience, to Harrison's refusal to promote it, to his quarrelsome label, to MTV-era production missteps. George Harrison’s Gone Troppo is an album that has improved with age; put it on and cast your mind back to a time when the world was a very different place. Published on. October 27, 2018. George Harrison’s tenth solo studio album was largely recorded between early May and the end of August 1982, a little over a year since he had released Somewhere in England. Released on Dark Horse Records in November 1982 George did not undertake any promotional activities for Gone Troppo, his mind was elsewhere on other projects.

They say I’m not what I used to be/All the same/I’m happier than a willow tree, sings George Harrison in Mystical One, a song from his new album, Gone Troppo. Well, it’s great that George is happy, but he’s right about his career: lately, he’s made a much better movie financier than musician, and Gone Troppo - Harrison’s version of a Jimmy Buffett album - isn’t the record that will change things. So offhand and breezy as to be utterly insubstantial, the LP is made up of throwaway ditties, instrumental fragments and formulaic love songs.
I think BeatleBeatle has simply listened to a best of George Harrison album and from that source deduced that four of George's best songs came off of this album. Dream Away was written for the Time Bandit's soundtrack and means nothing. The most beautiful song on the album, in my opinion, is Mystical One. I will admit that That's the Way it Goes is a great politically charged and timely song, a defining style of George's. Gone Troppo the title song is humourous but not enjoyable. The Loud One (August 17, 2005). Believe me: this one is an undiscovered goodie!
