The Underdogs образовались в Лидсе в начале 80-х. Однако не стоит недооценивать потенциал данного коллектива, The Underdogs звучали весьма мощно, мелодично и интересно и могли бы добиться намного большего. Также в сентябре 2015 на Common People Records выходит 12 дюймовая пластинка The Underdogs "The Punk Demos Collection" с 15 отремастированными треками с демо-пленок "Riot in Rothwell" 1982 и "East of Dachau" 1983 года. The Underdogs from Leeds, were a band of the second batch of UK Punk. They recorded two demos between 1982 and 1983 me was inspired by the song of the Mancunian legends The Drones. Although some likened them to the The Clash, SLF and Dead Kennedys their own preferences were varied. They rehearsed at the Windmill Youth Club in Rothwell (Leeds), which was also the launching pad of fellow Riot City Punksters, The Expelled. They recorded their first demo in 1981, which included the songs Big Brother and Make It Last. Despite limited success, mainly due to lack of gigs, Riot City persevered with the band and an 8 track Mini-Album was planned for the following year. Sadly, Riot City fell into financial difficulties at this time and so those 8 tracks, which included Never Gonna give Up, Hate Bomb and Paint It Red never saw daylight.

Underdogs" is a song by Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers. It was released in 2007 by record label Columbia as the first single taken from their eighth studio album, Send Away the Tigers. A fan competition was announced at the time of the song's announcement, asking fans to send in photos, videos and other visual media they thought fit the song and its theme.

Riot in Rothwell recorded in 1982 and East of Dachau recorded in 1983. All tracks have been remastered for a better sound quality during summer 2015 at ‘Rana Studios’.
