Ramses Shaffy (29 August 1933 – 1 December 2009) was a French-Dutch singer and actor who became popular during the 1960s. His most famous songs include "Zing, Vecht, Huil, Bid, Lach, Werk en Bewonder", "We Zullen Doorgaan", "Pastorale", "Sammy" and "Laat Me". He frequently collaborated with Dutch singer Liesbeth List. Shaffy was born in Paris, in the suburb Neuilly-sur-Seine. His father was an Egyptian diplomat and his mother was a Polish-Russian countess. He grew up with his mother in Cannes.

Ramses Shaffy (Neuilly-sur-Seine, 29 August 1933 - Amsterdam, 1 december 2009) was a Dutch singer and actor. after a career as an actor with the Nederlandse Comedie since the 1960s made Shaffy furore as singer. Ramses II's interest in architecture resulted in the erection of more monuments than any of the other ancient Egyptian pharaohs. A significant number of architectural tributes attributed to Ramses II still dominate the landscape of Egypt today. The Ramesseum is a memorial temple complex situated close to Luxor (even closer to Qurna). Although it is in ruins now, it is still recognizable for the large Pylon of Ramesses inside which is useful as a historical document.
