Triona and Maighread Ni Dhomhnaill, Donal Lunny and their 'supporting cast' are all successful traditional musicians in their own right, who have known each other for ever, and are capable of building on each others strengths - and compensating for any weakness. I particularly like as always - the slower ballads, which are sung here with a very natural sense of spacing and time, enabling the listener to engage with the music and the story, on a deeper and more conscious level  .
