Over the course of the slowly building track Nolan seizes upon this influence and sculpts it slowly into his own shape, culminating on a veritable dirge of sound all of his own as he moans out the mournful chorus of Blood weeeeeding, over and over again. To reduce Nolan to his musical influences may actually be doing him a disservice, as there is a profound literary sharpness to his lyrics. The album culminates, not with a bang but with a whisper, in the form of a tender and delicate duet Aubade (featuring guest vocals from Julie Feeney). It’s the sound of the last quiet gasps of a party that’s already ended – all the wine’s been drunk or spilled on the carpet, all the balloons are shrivelled and deflated – and all that remains are two lovers around the piano, saying their final goodbye to each other before departing from each other’s lives forever.

The Golden Dawn are an American psychedelic rock band formed in Austin, Texas, in 1966. The band released one album, titled Power Plant, before breaking up soon after the album's release in 1968. The 1966 release of the album was withheld by International Artists, until after The 13th Floor Elevators' album Easter Everywhere was released, even though the Golden Dawn album, Power Plant was recorded nearly a year earlier

Who is the most famous Golden Dawn Member? Thelma founder Aleister Crowley tops our list. Crowley, who later became famous for his involvement with the Ordo Templis Orientis, was close friends with Golden Dawn co-founder Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers. The Irish poet and Nobel Prize winner William Butler Yeats was very involved in the early days of the Golden Dawn, but he resigned after conflict infiltrated the group. Author Bram Stoker was believed to be a member of the Golden Dawn due to his interest in the supernatural, as well as his friendship with many Golden Dawn members.
