Dear Honeytrap users, developers, during my use of Honeytrap I encountered the following situation: Preconditions: running instance of Honeytrap using nfq, iptables rulesset which forwords all packets to the queue portconf default set to "normal" (no exceptions). Obersvation: I am still able to SSH the host which runs honeytrap! Why? Honeytrap logs this event but it seems that it does not answer it, as default reaction would be sending 'n' Stopping Honeytrap and not deleting the iptables ruleset ends up with. You can tell it to drop privileges and run connection handlers under an unprivileged user after these tasks have been completed, and my guess would be that this is what causes the problem in your case. If you do so, you have to make sure that the log file is writable also for this unprivileged user.
