Description

Concert au Kirchberg au Luxembourg le 27 août 1995 pour le Voodoo Lounge Tour Made in Europe, a Vinyl Gang Product Retour sur le concert dans la presse.

The Voodoo Lounge Tour was a worldwide concert tour by The Rolling Stones to promote their 1994 album Voodoo Lounge. This was their first tour without bassist Bill Wyman, and their first with touring bassist Darryl Jones. This was subsequently overtaken by a few other tours, but it remains The Rolling Stones' second highest grossing tour behind their 2005–2007 A Bigger Bang Tour.

Voodoo Lounge is the 20th British and 22nd American studio album by British rock band The Rolling Stones, released in July 1994. As their first new release under their new alliance with Virgin Records, it ended a five-year gap since their last studio album, Steel Wheels in 1989. Voodoo Lounge is also the band's first album without long-time bassist Bill Wyman. He left the band in early 1991, though the Stones did not formally announce the departure until 1993

The album title comes from the fact that these sessions and concerts were relatively stripped down compared to The Rolling Stones' arena shows. Several tracks include acoustic guitar, but there's also lots of electric guitar on here. Bassist Bill Wyman left the group in 1993, and in the video above you can see a young Darryl Jones holding down the low end. The Stones has a resurgence in the '90s with the Voodoo Lounge album, but this is still far from the height of their powers in the '60s and '70s. What you get with this material is classic songs performed with solid.

To pile on the irony, Voodoo Lounge feels more like a return to form than its predecessor, even if it's every bit as calculated and Bill Wyman has flown the coup. With Don Was, a neo-classic rock producer who always attempts to reclaim his artist's original claim to greatness, helming the boards with the Glimmer Twins, the Stones strip their sound back to its spare, hard-rocking basics.

The Rolling Stones unearthed several live performances for their upcoming release, Voodoo Lounge Uncut, which arrives November 16th via Eagle Vision. The new project comprises a concert film and live album, and is centered around a reissue of a 1995 TV special that captured the Stones’ November 25th, 1994 gig at the Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami, Florida. On tour in support of their 1994 LP Voodoo Lounge, the concert famously featured cameos from Sheryl Crowe, Bo Diddley and Robert Cray.
