Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1970 rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The album musical is a musical dramatisation of the last week of the life of Jesus Christ, beginning with his entry into Jerusalem and ending with the Crucifixion. It was originally banned by the BBC on grounds of being "sacrilegious". By 1983, the album had sold over 7 million copies worldwide.

While no set matches the original, it's still hard to go wrong with the music, no matter what the source. My 34-yr-old son loves the soundtrack to the movie JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, which he heard me play on various media while he was growing up. He now is really into vinyl, so I wanted to give him an original LP recording of "JCS" for his birthday. The LP arrived promptly & was safely & securely packaged.
