Kim Wilde is the eponymous debut studio album by British singer Kim Wilde, released on June 29, 1981 via the RAK label. The songs on the album were all written by Kim's father, the successful 1950s rock and roll singer Marty Wilde, and her younger brother Ricky Wilde and most of the music was played by the then current line-up of the symphonic rock band The Enid. Production duties were fulfilled by Ricky Wilde. The cover portraits were taken by renowned British photographer Gered Mankowitz.

The Hits Collection (Kim Wilde album). The Hits Collection is a compilation album by Kim Wilde. The album was released on March 6, 2006. Originally the album was intended to be a repackaged version of the 1996 compilation Best of Kim Wilde. When the album was announced, the webmaster of Wilde's fansite contacted EMI and asked if it would be a better idea to release a new compilation of Wilde's EMI "first" years 1981-1983 instead.

Thankfully, Kim Wilde's 1981 debut album that hit stores Stateside in 1982 still possesses that youthful punk rebelliousness. A few of the tracks on this album ended up as filler to complete my bootleg copy of The Go-Gos debut album and lo and behold I actually found myself liking the Kim Wilde "filler" more than most of the songs on The Go-Gos album!

Kim Wilde’s Here Come The Aliens was released last week. As part of a national 19-date tour, Kim Wilde is at the Regent Theatre in Ipswich on Friday, March 30, at 8pm. For tickets, priced from £28 to £3. 0, call the box office on 000 or go on-line at ipswichregent.
