Water Babies is a compilation album by American jazz trumpeter Miles Davis. It compiled music Davis recorded in studio sessions with his quintet in 1967 and 1968, including outtakes from his 1968 album Nefertiti and recordings that foreshadowed his direction on In a Silent Way (1969), while covering styles such as jazz fusion and post-bop. Water Babies was released by Columbia Records in 1976 after Davis had (temporarily) retired.

Leatherback turtles consume large numbers of jellyfish which helps to keep populations of these marine organisms in check. Marine turtles, including leatherbacks, also provide a vital source of income as a draw for ecotourism in coastal communities, especially in the Coral Triangle. Extinction Risk Vulnerable. In the Bird's Head Seascape of the Coral Triangle, we work to protect the nesting area of the largest remaining population of leatherback turtles in the Pacific Ocean. WWF also supports the patrolling of leatherback turtle nest beaches and helps equip local turtle conservationists. These conservation efforts often lead to ecotourism opportunities and offer alternative livelihoods for local communities.

The Southern Cross or Crux, a constellation visible in the Southern Hemisphere, is depicted on flags and coats of arms of various countries and sub-national entities. This star constellation is visible mostly in the southern hemisphere and it therefore symbolises the southern location of its users. The term Southern Cross can also refer to the blue saltire as used in various flags of the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War.

Koro is a volcanic island of Fiji that forms part of the Lomaiviti Archipelago. The Koro Sea is named after this volcanic island, which has a chain of basaltic cinder cones extending from north to south along its crest. With a land area of 10. square kilometers (4. square Miles), it is the seventh largest island of Fiji. Its latitude is 1. 8°; its longitude is 17. 4°. Its population in 1960 was around 2,500. The village of Nacamaki on the northern side of the island does a traditional turtle calling ceremony during which villagers chant songs and turtles rise to the surface. Forestry and timber logging are the major economic activities. The island has several small medical stations and schools up to High school. A Western Union and a Post office are also on the island. The short-lived 2002 . reality show Under One Roof was filmed on Koro Island.

Sea turtles can inhale harmful chemicals when they surface to breathe, which can lead to irritation and inflammation of the respiratory passages, emphysema or pneumonia. Oil spills can also affect marine food webs, with sea turtles ingesting animals that accidentally consume the oil. Sea turtles covered in oil can also suffer chemical burns or skin irritation.

Yet with THE SIGN OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS the next generation of a truly loud-assed gut-bucket of American Heavy Metal is born right now. Not satisfied with obviously being the true heirs of their lost idols, these American youngsters are more than eager to carve their own ground out of original Southern Metal. Of Mountains and Moonshine" reflects that burning ambition in all of its sparkling facets and easily lives up to the high expectations that THE SIGN OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS have already created with their MySpace appearance, which quickly attracted an impressive following

Today Bright Side would like to welcome you aboard on some of the most mysterious sunken ships. Ready to risk your life and take a walk among ghosts and mermaids? Ahoy! Fairytale floating forest, Australia. This SS Ayrfield ship has an exciting past: during World War II, she carried US troops to the sites of fighting. In the 1970s, she was sent on a ship graveyard near the Olympic Village in Sydney. And by 2000, with the Olympic Games coming up, this war veteran has been turned into an adorable forest island and a tourist attraction. Swedish flagship of the XVI century. There are just 600 people inhabiting the tiny islands of the Chatham archipelago. Life here has not changed much since the XVIII century when this place was discovered.
