An album that sets out to examine sonic extremes, Max Cooper's debut Human juxtaposes a whole range of electronic styles: lush orchestration fighting savage distortion, and clinical digital sound anchored by warm analogue grooves. And nowhere is that restless curiosity to experiment as apparent as the contrast of the first and second singles - first, the delicate and downtempo Adrift, versus this second release, Impacts, the roughest, toughest sampler workout Cooper has produced.

Max Cooper (born 1980) is a London-based electronica and techno producer who has been releasing music since 2007. He has received positive criticism from magazines such as Clash and received great critical acclaim for his debut album Human, eleven tracks that carved out his own artistic space in creating highly produced, emotional electronica made for both the dancefloor and sit-down concerts.

The LP, which is due to come out on Fields, will be preceded by the single release of Adrift, featuring Belleruche’s Kathrin deBoer, one of Cooper’s long-time collaborators.
