The Quiet Resistance is the third studio album by the Dutch gothic metal band Nemesea, released in 2011. The album was produced and mixed by Joost van den Broek. All lyrics written by Manda Ophuis and Hendrik Jan 'HJ' de Jong; all music composed by Hendrik Jan 'HJ' de Jong and Nemesea, except where indicated. A music video was made for the song Afterlife. The Quiet Resistance" is the third album by the Dutch formation and offers a more mature, modern, and contemporary approach than that found on Nemesea's two previous efforts. Although the band continues to stay true to its characteristic style, they do not shy away from including new elements and details to refresh their sound. The guitars and Manda Ophuis' outstanding vocals continue to be the driving force behind Nemesea

Nemesea are a minor ripple in the overall Gothic metal pool if one considers their entire history. They've been slow on the uptake in terms of deciding which influences to tout, establishing a hybrid After Forever meets Within Temptation sound on their debut at a time when the latter had abandoned that sound and the former had split off into 2 projects, the one bearing more resemblance to them being Epica.
