The Wild Places is the third studio album by English singer-songwriter and musician Duncan Browne. Released in 1978 through Logo and Sire Records, it is Browne's first solo album since his departure from the band Metro that year, and features contributions from session musicians Tony Hymas, John Giblin and Simon Phillips. In contrast to his previous self-titled solo record, the sound of the album is fully electric and ranges from progressive rock to straightforward rock music and synthpop.

Duncan Browne is the self-titled second studio album by English singer-songwriter and musician Duncan Browne, released in 1973 through Mickie Most's Rak Records. Stylistically, the album is a continuation of Browne's folk-indebted debut album, Give Me Take You (1968), and features progressive rock and electronic music elements. The album spawned the Bob Dylan-inspired hit single "Journey", which peaked at number 23 on the UK Singles Chart.

Journey: Anthology 1967-1993. I was really hoping this anthology would solve a lot of my Duncan Browne needs. In Canada, Browne never made the same kind of splash as he did in the UK. His albums received spotty distribution in North America, to say the least! I discovered him by accident when the radio station I was working for cleared out a lot of old vinyl in the mid 1980s

Duncan Browne biography Duncan BROWNE (b. 1947-03-25 - d. 1993-05-28) was a UK composer and musician with a long and interesting career, who passed away at a much to young age in 1993. His initial forays into the world of music was as a part of the folk duo Lorel, but when that project fell apart he opted to release a solo album instead. When he returned with the single Journey towards the end of 1972 he did however, this single hovering at the outer edges of the top 20 singles charts at the time. The following self-titled full length production that was released in 1973 didn't make as much headway however. Soon after Browne hooked up with one Peter Godwin, and together they formed the band Metro, combining the aspects of art rock and glam rock in one go.

Duncan Browne's self-titled second album plays like a direct sequel to his debut long-player, Give Me Take You; he uses the same acoustic guitar and writes in a similar idiom, especially on tracks like "Country Song" and "The Martlet. The RAK album was reissued on CD by EMI in 2002 with four bonus tracks, comprised of odd single sides and a pair of outtakes that extended the record's stylistic range considerably, into a more purely electric rock, more standard (though still enjoyable and attractive) singer/songwriter mode - although the last of the bonus tracks, the previously unissued "Mignon," is. easily the prettiest song that Browne ever recorded and is thoroughly in the style of his first LP.
