Description

Forty-five years ago this week on August 8, 1969, photographer Iain Macmillan captures the Beatles crossing the street outside of their Abbey Road studio. The photo becomes one of music's most iconic album covers.

One for the Road is a 1980 live album and video by The Kinks.

The Road, is the debut, full-length studio album by American Staind frontman Aaron Lewis. His second country music effort, it was released by Blaster Records on November 13, 2012. The song "Granddaddy's Gun" was previously recorded by Rhett Akins on the 2010 album Michael Waddell's Bone Collector: The Brotherhood Album.

The High Road is the second studio album by American singer JoJo. It was released on October 17, 2006, by Da Family Entertainment, Blackground Records, and Universal Records. Recording sessions for the album took place between late 2005 and mid-2006 in California, New York City, Miami, and Atlanta.

Fools Five Road Race – . The sea of people at the 40th Fools Five Road Race. It takes about 3 minutes to get everyone pass the start line. There is no better scene than Main Street of Lewiston, Minnesota full of runners and walkers: fighting for hope, lending support, continuing to give, providing compassion and coming together as a community to win this battle against cancer.

In 1974, they changed their name to ROCKET MEN (or ROCKETTERS) as five aliens, bald, with grey eyes, silver skin and space suits, recording the single 'Rocket Man' produced by Claude Lemoine, who would become their producer until 1983. In 1975, they changed their name in ROCKETS and recorded a single 'Future woman'. They later covered Canned Heat too, on their 1977 LP 'On The Road Again' (1977), which was released in a large number of countries. The American release was on the Tom n'Jerry label. This post consists of a MP3 rip (320kps) taken from my vinyl copy and includes full album artwork. As a bonus, I have chosen to include a 'live' version of "On The Road Again" taken from a CD Discography that was released in 2003 - a very different version to the original album release. In addition, I have also included a flash video of this track which was used as the promo for the single.

Once in a while, a restaurant comes along that captures the essence of a place better than any other. Five-O defines a night out in Ogunquit: we are sophisticated with high style, always fun, our service is well-paced and our food is excellent. On Tuesday, March 29th our very own Chef/Partner James Walter was named 2016 "Chef of the Year" by the Maine Restaurant Association for his hard work, dedication and contributions to the culinary industry

Arguably, the most recognisable album cover in pop music history and certainly the most parodied, The Beatles’ Abbey Road album still draws fans to the road forty four years after the photo was taken. But how did this iconic image come about? We put on our sleuthing hats to find out. The result of this detective work, eleven little known nuggets of knowledge and five fantastic behind the scenes photos. 1. The album’s working title was Everest, named after the cigarettes that sound engineer Geoff Emerick smoked
