Matt Ward has had his hand in many projects over the years but it’s great to get a solo effort from him, where I believe he excels. He sticks to the acoustic-folk-blues sound that he has crafted so intricately. I’ve tried to figure out what the Girl From Conejo Valley is about: drugs? cheating? something else? Whatever it is, it’s a catchy song with a great riff and Ward’s laconic, sleepy vocals. The bubbling acoustic guitar and tight percussion combine to make for an irresistible track. Ward balances the energy of these two songs with ballads like the Slow Driving Man and Pirate Dial.

Rain is a 2008 album by Joe Jackson. It was released by Rykodisc on 28 January 2008 in the UK and one day later in the . Jackson plays piano and sings, and Graham Maby on bass and David Houghton on drums are the only other musicians. It was recorded at Planet Roc in Berlin, Germany. Jackson performed a full UK tour.

This new Album Fire & Rain was recorded in Prague and in Melbourne in 2016 and in early 2017. All songs on the record were written by Glenn Proudfoot – who obviously played all the guitar and sang all the vocals. Lucius Borich (Cog) played Drums and Junior Braguinha (Virgil Donati band) played Bass. Fire & Rain was produced and engineered by Peter Bowman and Glenn Proudfoot and it was mixed by Peter Bowman in Melbourne
