The infectious rhythm makes the listener feel forced to dance and allows them to empathize with the woman. If the listener listens closely they hear a crowd in the background cheering. The conjunction of this cheering and Michael’s Chop Chop ad-libs assist the allegory of an oppressed woman to a dance slave. Another noteworthy observation is how Michael Jackson was an adamant advocate against the corruption in the entertainment industry.
Slave to the Rhythm (оригинал Michael Jackson). She dances in the sheets at nights, She dances to his needs, She dances 'til he feels just right. The rhythm of love, the rhythm of love. She dances for the man at work. Who works her overtime
An audio biography of Grace Jones, produced by Trevor Horn, it's a sonic treat along the lines of Yes's 90125 or Frankie Goes to Hollywood's first album (both produced by Horn). The music ranges from slick R&B runaway grooves to striking audio montages, interrupted occasionally by conversation about Jones's life.
The actual album track titled "Slave to the Rhythm" was also released as a single, but that version did not garner that much attention. Jones the Rhythm", the second and the last single, was released at the end of the year, but passed unnoticed, overshadowed by the success of the first single and the release of Island Life compilation. It suffered from the lack of promotion, as no music video was produced for it and it has never been performed live. Side A. "Jones the Rhythm" – 6:26.
