James Yorkston, an artist not unfamiliar with the notion of collaboration, has opened the studio doors to a broad and brilliant selection of players on this his eighth studio album.

It was produced by Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip in London's Livingston studio. KT Tunstall, The Pictish Trail and Taylor feature on the album. Guy Fawkes' Signature". Feathers Are Falling". Since his debut in 2002, each James Yorkston album has been a semi-structured unspooling of the mind and heart, captained by a host of disparate producers yet threaded together in one lifelong narrative. Each collection is slightly evolved, bearing different sounds, stories, and personnel, but intrinsically connected to his life and personal mythology.

All songs recorded and mixed at Livingston Studios by Jonanthan Gilmore except 'You & Your Sister' which was recorded by James Yorkston on his phone and Side 4 which was recorded at Anstruther Harbour and mixed by James Yorkston. Livingston Studio assistant engineer: Frankie 17 Raniey. Additional recording at Chamber Studios in Endinburgh, engineered by Graeme Young, assisted by Reuben Taylor.
