Tropical orchestra Puerto Rican Power was formed by bassist Jesús Castro in the early '70s, soon granting its leadership to trumpet player Luisito Ayala. In 1983, singer Tito Rojas joined in, starting a new stage in the Puerto Rican salsa history. After reaching an agreement with musical production, Puerto Rican Power recorded Canta Tito Rojas, Con Más Poder, and the successful Con Todo El Poder, released in 1992, featuring the hit single "A Donde Iras. In the late '90s, Luisito Ayala's orchestra signed up to J&N (Juan y Nelson), issuing Men in Salsa in 1999

El Gallo Salsero" (The Salsa Rooster), (born June 14, 1955) is a Puerto Rican salsa singer and bandleader. Tito Rojas (birth name: Julio César Rojas López ) was born and raised in the town of Humacao, Puerto Rico, which is located on the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. There, he received his primary and secondary education. He enjoyed singing to his family and he would also sing the latest salsa tunes with his friends.

TITO ROJAS was born in 1955 in Puerto Rico and began his musical career in the 1970’s, recording his first album with Pedro Conga y su Orquesta Internacional. Known as El Gallo Salsero (The Salsa Rooster), he became the lead vocalist with Conjunto Borincuba, led by Justo Betancourt, releasing the hit album Con Amor in 1978. PUERTO RICAN POWER was founded in the early 1970’s by bassist Jesús Chuy Castro. In 1978, LUISITO AYALA, a native of Humacao, Puerto Rico, who had been playing trumpet for several years in the band of Willie Rosario and Willie Rodriguez, took over as the orchestra’s Musical Director. Their 1987 release Canta Tito Rojas was a smash hit, climbing to on the Billboard Tropical/Salsa chart and contained hit songs like Noche de Boda, Quiereme Tal Como Soy, Tres Mujeres and No Estoy.
