Well short of perfect, The Inhuman Condition loses steam on its last two songs: the droning chant "My Love is Freeing", while it features a soothing overdubbed vocal, gets a little tedious, and the country-Stones closer "This is How I Live" is far too tongue-in-cheek to be taken seriously. Fruitless, learning forays like this will no doubt wind up shelved if Universal opts to record a full-fledged major label debut based on his recent North-of-American attention.

Sam Roberts is a Canadian Singer/Song writer from Montreal, Quebec. After trying to get a record label and being in a couple previous bands since 1993, Sam Roberts, now with his own band, caught his break in 2002 after being signed to Universal Records Canada. He recorded this six track EP entitled The Inhuman Condition. This album became very popular in Canada in the summer of 2002 much to the surprise of Sam and his band. The first single released, Brother Down, became a huge hit on Canadian rock radio during that summer

Don't Walk Away Eileen" is lively, mid-tempo rock'n'roll with resounding vocal melodies and "Brother Down" features an unhurried rhythmic groove, along with first-rate percussion, handclaps and multi-tracked vocals. This is the full discography for the Canadian rock musician Sam Roberts who is signed to Universal (Canada) since 2001. In 2000 Roberts recorded a set of demos entitled "Brother Down". Some of these songs appeared on later albums, including the song "Brother Down" which appeared on Roberts' 2002 release "The Inhuman Condition" EP. The latter reached the charts in Canada. Since then Roberts has released six albums, four EPs and a number of singles.
