Krzysztof Komeda (born Krzysztof Trzciński; 27 April 1931 – 23 April 1969) was a Polish film music composer and jazz pianist. Perhaps best known for his work in film scores, Komeda wrote the scores for Roman Polanski’s films Knife in the Water (1962), Cul-de-sac (1966), The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967), and Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

Organized by Jazz Jamboree Foundation. Musician Krzysztof Sadowski announces one of the concerts of the 55th Jazz Jamboree Festival in Warszawa, Poland. The first Jazz Jamboree was organised by Hot-Club Hybrydy. Jazz Jamboree 1962 is a studio album by American jazz trumpeter Don Ellis recorded in 1962 and released on the Polskie Nagrania Muza label. The record was re-released in Poland in 2013 with the bonus track "Nihil Novi". He appeared at the "Jazz by the Odra '67" Festival at the age of 18, winning it as a soloist. In 1971 he graduated from the Academy of Music in Katowice receiving the Krzysztof Komeda award. He has worked and recorded with top Polish jazz musicians, such as: Tomasz Stańko, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Adam Makowicz, J. P. Wroblewski, Michał Urbaniak and Mieczyslaw Kosz.
