Nazz is the self-titled debut album by psychedelic rock group Nazz. It was released in 1968. The track "Open My Eyes" was accompanied by a promo video, directed by Ray Dennis Steckler. The album also featured the original version of what would become guitarist Todd Rundgren's signature song, "Hello It's Me", when Rundgren re-recorded it several years later as a solo single for his double album Something/Anything?.

Nazz Nazz is the second studio album by American rock band Nazz, released in April 1969 by SGC Records. Recording - After a brief trip to England in October 1968, cut short by visa problems, Nazz recorded their second album, originally entitled Fungo Bat in Los Angeles in late 1968 and earl. mage: Nazz Nazz.

Throughout the Nazz's first record, he proved that he was a gifted mimic and a savvy melodicist, yet he never quite landed upon a signature style outside of their debut single "Hello It's Me"/"Open My Eyes. Not coincidentally, these were the two songs on the record that the Nazz produced themselves, and they followed that lead on Nazz Nazz, fusing their sundry influences into a distinctive psych pop sound

A trippy version of a classic album. This 1969 Japanese pressing is on very quiet vinyl—there is deep silence between the tracks—but the mastering is unpleasantly bright and lacking bass. By comparison, the U.S. black vinyl has solid bass and overall excellent EQ balance, and to my ears it sounds better than both the Japanese and U.S. red vinyl releases. I'd rate the Japanese the brightest and thinnest sounding of the three. “Forget All About It” appears to have a mastering error in the first chorus: It sounds as if the bass and perhaps other instruments drift from the left speaker to the right and back again over the span of about two seconds; the guitar and vocals in the left channel don't seem to drift with the other instruments. The right-channel volume increases as well before returning to its previous level after the balance is corrected. Since the mastering engineer would have been working from a stereo mixdown, I imagine someone made a mistake during the mastering process, or perhaps the tape was damaged. It's a very odd error and doesn't appear on the U.S. versions. Unlike the U.S. releases, this one has a gatefold sleeve with band and band member bios, as well as humorously inaccurate transcriptions of the lyrics. “Forget All About It”: “There are times when I’m not even sure of a why what to now,” and “If you haven’t got time to rest then take a record up now.” “Hang on Paul”: “It’s a really beautiful milk. Sweet potato. So let go please to take sweet tomato. Paul you’re gonna kill you yeah.” A bad translator...or maybe just really good drugs?

The red promo version is the only way to get the mono mix. And this is it.
