Holmes is the self-titled debut of then ex-Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford and ex-Ted Nugent vocalist Derek St. Holmes, released in 1981. In 1981, Brad Whitford left Aerosmith. He teamed up with Derek St. Holmes, who had previously played with Ted Nugent to form "Whitford/St. Holmes", together with Dave Hewitt and Steve Pace. Later replaced by bassist Chase Chitty and drummer Larue Riccio (Baby and the Pacifiers).

This work by Derek St. Holmes with Brad Whitford is just excellent. Derek St. Holmes delivers a great record here and the Tom Allom production is very very good. This album is much better than the Nugent album by Ted Nugent. I remember the song Whiskey Woman was used in a commercial in the 80's. I've looking for this one for a long time. An enjoyable collection of tunes from Whitford & St Holmes. Looking forward to their upcoming live shows and new tunes.
