Thy Catafalque is an avant-garde metal band from Makó, Hungary (early), later Edinburgh, Scotland, after the relocation of its founder. The band was formed by Hungarian musician Tamás Kátai, along with a bandmate from a previous group, Gort. In their early years, the band started off playing black metal. As time progressed, so did the band's overall sound. They began adding in much more electronic and experimental influence into their music, creating a very atmospheric sound

1) Catafalque is a female fronted, six member band and is a successful representative of Gothic metal in Turkey. They have released 2 albums and 1 EP to date. Their self recorded EP Never To Be Buried was released in 2001, their debut album Unique in 2005, and second album Dialectique in 2007.
