Older is the third solo studio album by George Michael, released in Europe on 13 May 1996 through Virgin Records and Aegean and one day later in the United States. The American release was the first ever album released by DreamWorks Records. It was Michael's first album since 1990's Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 – the gap was due to the legal battle that Michael experienced with his former record company Sony Music

Older is the album that many observers initially believed Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1 to be - a relentlessly serious affair, George Michael's bid for artistic credibility. It's an album that makes Listen Without Prejudice sound like Faith. When melodies do pop up, he doesn't deliver them with enough force to make an impact, and the album slowly disappears as a result.
