Voice of the Beehive was an Anglo-American alternative pop rock band formed in London in 1986 by Californian sisters Tracey Bryn and Melissa Brooke Belland, daughters of The Four Preps singer Bruce Belland. They teamed with British musicians Mike Jones, Martin Brett, Mark Bedford and Daniel Woodgate, the latter two of which were former members of Madness. Bedford left after making formative contributions to the band and did not feature again, although Woodgate stayed for most of the band's career

VOICE OF THE BEEHIVE - Let It Bee Let It Bee is a simple album about moons, barbarians, love, and babies, performed with the high-spirited glow that one's little sister would enjoy. My cover photo of VOICE OF THE BEEHIVE for OffBEAT magazine's 'Religious' themed issue of December 1988 -, actually out in newsagents from early November, so the session took place in October. When we started the stupendously under-funded Independent indie music mag in 1988 it was publishing industry perceived wisdom that monthly music magazines 'do not work' in the UK.
