Johnny Winter is Johnny Winter's second studio album, released in 1969. UK CBS issued this with nine tracks in late 1969 in both stereo and mono (S63619/M63619). This album may have been intended as a Quadraphonic album as a four-channel reel was prepared but to this day remains unreleased. I'm Yours & I'm Hers" (Johnny Winter) – 4:33. Be Careful with a Fool" (Joe Josea, B. B. King) – 5:17. Dallas" (Johnny Winter) – 2:48. Mean Mistreater" (James Gordon) – 3:54.

Guitar Slinger is an album by guitarist and singer Johnny Winter. Released in 1984, it was his first studio album in four years, and his first album for Alligator Records Track listing. It's My Life, Baby" (Don Robey) – 4:11. Don't Take Advantage of Me" (Lee Baker, J. – 5:24. Iodine in My Coffee" (Muddy Waters) – 3:56. Trick Bag" (Earl King) – 3:20.

Straight out of Texas with a hot trio, Winter made blues-rock music for the angels, tearing up a cheap Fender guitar with total abandon on tracks like "I'm Yours and I'm Hers," "Leland Mississippi Blues," and perhaps the slow blues moment to die for on this set, . King's "Be Careful with a Fool. Winter's playing and vocals have yet to become mannered or clichéd on this session, and if you've ever wondered what the fuss is all about, here's the best place to check out his true legacy.

Johnny Winter was probably the most consistent Blues-rock player of his generation, pounding the highways of the world, bringing his high-powered Texas style to many generations of fans. From his breakthrough in 1969, he toured and recorded almost without a break, and when he left us in 2014, he was about to launch a new album and a massive tour. Johnny went to Chicago in 1968, where he played with the young Paul Butterfield and when he returned to Texas he cut an album, ‘The Progressive Blues Experiment’.

Album · 1969 · 12 Songs. Johnny Winter’s self-titled LP is one of a handful of albums released in the late ’60s that forged the alliance between blues and hard rock. In the process, the singer and guitarist displays boundless range: power-trio romps in East Texas swamp, acoustic moments haunted by Delta ghosts, and ballads crying with Memphis horns. Winter’s fretwork unifies all the wonderful variety. From beginning to end, but especially while slaying . King’s Be Careful With a Fool, the imposing talent lets it rip with gale-force intensity.
