Live at Reading is a live CD/DVD by American grunge band Nirvana released on November 2, 2009, chronicling its performance at the Reading Festival in Reading, England, UK, on August 30, 1992. Bootlegged for years following the performance, the new issues present the performance for the first time mastered and color corrected. The performance of the band's 1992 hit single "Lithium" was previously released on the home video Live! Tonight! Sold Out!! in 1994

The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in England. Nirvana’s historic August 30, 1992 headlining appearance at the UK’s Reading Festival is one of the most bootlegged concerts in the annals of rock’n’roll. Now, fans can own a pristine copy of that entire performance – color-corrected video from the original film with audio sourced from the original multi-track masters. The career-spanning setlist also reached back to the band’s 1989 Sub Pop debut album, Bleach, for Blew, About A Girl, School, Negative Creep and first single Love Buzz, and even further back to the mid-’80s for Spank Thru. Other songs from the Reading set would appear in studio form on the Incesticide compilation later in 1992: Aneurysm, Been A Son and Sliver.

Nirvana headline Reading Festival. At the beginning of Nirvana's headlining slot, journalist Everett True wheeled Kurt Cobain (wearing a blonde wig) in a wheelchair onto the stage. This gesture was a quip at the journalists who had accused Kurt of being a useless drug addict; the triumphant performance was Nirvana proving to the audience and themselves that they were much more than the hype and media coverage that surrounded them. The show was performed with an unflinching ferocity and became one of their most memorable performances.
