This is the album that started it all. After writing the music for the title track, the band realised they needed lyrics that could stand up to the powerful new sound they had created, and they chose the allied invasion of Normandy during World War II. It worked so well that they went on to write the rest of the album about historic battles, and the Swedish War Machine was born.
