Album Half Smiles of the Decomposed. Everybody Thinks I'm a Raincloud (When I'm Not Looking) Lyrics. I crept from a soft dimension where one of my souls was lighter And landed painfully into my big chance suit But I didn't really need it to stay awake. Cause this is not my day, and nobody really cares Anymore anyhow, and nobody called again ‘Cause they say that I'm too lazy to stay alive

I crept from a soft dimension When one of my souls was lighter And landed painfully Into my big chance suit But I didn't really need it To stay awake. Cause this is not my day And nobody really cares Anymore anyhow And nobody called again ‘Cause they say that I'm too lazy To stay alive. Every day it's another world With every change of tomorrow Hung over and hungry to fix it A miracle cure for my sorrow With pillows of self-esteem Alone in a satellite dream Where I can't forget about a world Where every beam I choose Is shining alone on you Shining alone on you, yeah.
Folks back home with suspicions about my sexuality weren’t surprised to hear that I was moving to San Francisco. If the world at large is heteronormative - forcing queer people to contend with a culture that assumes that straight is normal - here in San Francisco, it might be fair to say that we’re somehwat homonormative. That is, we assume all men and women might not be so straight, or we remove our assumptions from the picture altogether. Is my experience the flipside of the old normal? It’s an odd state of affairs, but I’m not complaining. Maybe that’s because I’m so frequently misread as gay that I’ve come to identify closely with queer people. In college, I concentrated in lesbian and gay studies, and these days I write about queer issues and events. Perhaps this adds to the confusion, as do my female roommates and meticulous wardrobe, but I don’t mind.
Cause this is not my day And nobody really cares Any more anyhow Nobody called again Cause they said I'm too lazy to stay alive
I'm Not Like Everybody Else" is a song written by Ray Davies and first recorded by The Kinks in 1966 and released that year as the B-side of "Sunny Afternoon". The lead vocal is sung by Dave Davies, with occasional parts vocalized by his brother Ray, the band's usual lead singer. The song is a defiant anthem of non-conformity. It has been covered by various artists, notably the Chocolate Watchband in their 1968 rendition of the song.
