Director Paul . Anderson (Resident Evil, Death Race) was wise to snag composer Paul Haslinger for his explosive, popcorn-hurling take on Alexandre Dumas' Three Musketeers, as the ex-Tangerine Dream member seems more than up to the task of keeping up with his partner in crime's kinetic pace.

This is potentially the high point of the album, in the sense that all other tracks are essentially instrumental (and choral) score material. A good deal of the material is basic action movie stuff, along with the occasional period piece (fanfares, vaguely French tinges in classical-based compositions). Kamen did a good job of writing the compositions to fit such a movie, taking both ends of the necessary works and piecing them together in a manner to profit the movie
