Mats/Morgan Band (formerly Hot Rats and Zappsteetoot) is a band that features Morgan Ågren and Mats Öberg. Morgan is a drummer and composer and Mats is a keyboard player and composer. The band is a showcase for their virtuosic skills on their respective instruments as well as their compositional skills. Their music is difficult to categorize, containing elements of jazz, electronic music, waltz, dance music, avant garde/free jazz, techno, rock, progressive and modern classical music.

With the aid of other musicians they later also expanded as the Mats/Morgan Band.

In 2016, Mats and I celebrated 35 years of making music together. We recorded two anniversary concerts in Stockholm with former bandmates, left to right: Mats Öberg, Jimmy Ågren, Tommy Tordsson, Morgan Ågren, Robert Elovsson, Gustaf Hielm and Stefan Jernståhl (and Peter Wahlbeck). We also composed new music for NorrlandsOperans Symphony Orchestra which was performed together with Mats/Morgan Band. All was filmed and recorded multi track. We released a pre-production of this orchestra music on a CD titled "Through The Eyes of a Morgchestra". There is also my solo debut album, "Batterie Deluxe" with guests such as Devin Townsend, Neyveli Radakrishna, and Fredrik Thordendal (of Meshuggah). And "TRUM", my drum TV show that was aired on Swedish television in 2001. These episodes are remastered and ready to download as well.
