Firepower is the eighteenth studio album by British heavy metal band Judas Priest. It is the first studio album since 1988's Ram It Down to be produced by Tom Allom and the first one with Andy Sneap as co-producer. The album sold around 49,000 copies in the United States within its first week of release, debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the band's highest-charting album in the US. Music videos were made for "Lightning Strike", "Spectre" and "No Surrender".

The album surpasses the group’s previous chart high, logged when 2014’s Redeemer of Souls debuted and peaked at No. 6. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the . based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Firepower - the act’s 18th studio effort - bows with 49,000 units earned in the week ending March 15, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 48,000 were in traditional album sales - the act's best sales frame since 2005's Angel of Retribution bowed with 54,000 copies sold.
Firepower (Judas Priest album). Firepower is the eighteenth upcoming studio album by British heavy metal band Judas Priest Contents. In a November 2015 interview with Reverb. com, Richie Faulkner said that the band would start work on a new album in 2016. In April 2016, Loudwire posted a photo showing Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton and Faulkner himself in the studio beginning the process of the album, with Halford confirming in a radio interview that the album would be ready by.

Metal veterans Judas Priest release a face melting metal album. Earlier this year, Firepower was released, and now, I'm talking about this album many months later. Jam packed with timeless riffs and very memorable hooks, hearing this album will make you believe you missed a classic metal album in the early 2000s. You may feel that the album sounds dated, but that's only because we haven't had very many metal releases this solid for a very long time. Fans of bands like Disturbed will enjoy. Priest managed to do something only a few of the great metal bands of the 70s and 80s could dream of. The band delivered a fantastic metal album, with a surprisingly, yet knowingly strong vocals from Halford. Some tracks will leave you wishing to feel the depths of hell and immolation of a flamethrower, while others will pump you up for a fight.
