Description

Juan Atkins and Moritz von Oswald – the two indispensable protagonists of the Electric Garden – plug back into the wilderness.

Album · 2016 · 7 Songs.

In their purported attack on the ethos of our endemic chase for the perennially new, Atkins' and von Oswald's 'uniform' sequencing and thematic constancy were singled out as the prime suspects. The influence of jazz and dub is synonymous with Atkins' and von Oswald's output, and is present throughout the album, but here it is brought within orbit by taut, wandering basslines and brilliantly defined drums.

Transport Carl Craig Remix - DJ Deep & Roman Poncet Rework. Juan Atkins, Moritz Von Oswald. DJ Deep, Carl Craig, Roman Poncet.

This is amazing. Saw them last month, record came today. This is amazing. Just like the earily Basic Channel records, some tracks work well at either 33 or 45. Amazing. Deep techno to dubby ambient - it's all good.

Haven't seen a lot of hype around this one. Transport is everything people expected from Mortitz and Atkin's first wave of collaborations which left something desired. The 2LP landed on my door yesterday and has been in constant rotation. Every track is standout material. Future techno classic wherein two of the genres most celebrated producers take you deep to the core.

In Rajahstan in a public toilet lies a foul smelling pool of dub techno piss, in that pool a bubble of fresh air meanders through like this record. Sure it is as self promoting of the genre as a Jeff Koons original piece but it is as lovely in it's execution as the multi layered writing of John Dos Passos.
