The Outsiders Are Back is the first full-length album by the Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based soul band Kings Go Forth. It was released in April 2010 on the Luaka Bop label. The album consists of ten original songs written by band members Andy Noble and Black Wolf. The album's cover, and likely its title, are based on a fictional album cover designed by "imaginary soul superstar" Mingering Mike. All songs written by Andy Noble and Black Wolf.

Kings Go Forth (the name is borrowed from the title of an ancient Frank Sinatra and Tony Curtis WWII movie) hail from Milwaukee, Wisconsin: a blue collar, Midwestern, essentially unglamorous town, best known for its breweries and heavy industry. Suitably, the group’s approach to vintage soul isn’t afraid of a bit of hard work. The band arrived in the studio with a solid reputation for live work, and they take that through to an album built on drum patterns muscular enough to drive a full horn section, scratching guitars and a swirling organ. It veers from the controlled, Motown-esque soul of You’re the One and High On Your Love, to the full-blown big band stomp of the /Con Funk Shun variety with Paradise Lost, Get a Feeling, I Don’t Love You No More and One Day.

Kings Go Forth are based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and haven’t played a gig further away than Bloomington, Indiana. Their Luaka Bop debut album ‘The Outsiders Are Back’ won’t be out until April 20, 2010. Who are these guys, anyway? The story of Kings Go Forth starts with the afore mentioned Andy Noble. He was born, raised and still lives in Milwaukee, and probably knows more about classic soul, funk, and R&B than anyone you’ve ever met. He’s a dedicated record collector, an independent label entrepreneur, and the proprietor of the fabled Lotus Land record shop.
